Maintenance Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the truck and trailer parts department
• Manage inventory including forecasting, purchasing, stocking, and cycle counts
• Source parts from approved suppliers and negotiate pricing and delivery timelines
• Build and maintain relationships with dealerships, vendors, and aftermarket suppliers
• Review and reconcile parts invoices for the Accounts department
• Collaborate with Mechanics and Shop Supervisors to prioritize parts for repairs
• Monitor inventory usage, costs, and purchasing trends
• Ensure accurate entry of maintenance records into the management system
• Assist in planning preventive maintenance schedules to maximize fleet uptime
• Supervise the organization and cleanliness of the parts room
• Train and mentor Parts Coordinators or Clerks

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in a Parts Coordinator, Supervisor, or Manager role within trucking, transportation, or heavy equipment
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts and components
• Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and vendor management
• Proficiency with MS Office and inventory or fleet maintenance software
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Automotive, or a related field
