Maintenance Clerk

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of parts and supplies in accordance with company policies and standards
• Perform daily stock, inventory, and issuance of parts and supplies
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate manufacturing part numbers are documented for the PM program
• Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and technicians to ensure equipment and parts availability
• Issue consumables and equipment supplies to support daily and weekly preventive maintenance tasks
• Maintain detailed records of quantity, type, and value of stocked materials for efficient utilization
• Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile totals in the inventory system to ensure accuracy
• Maintain the parts room, including equipment plans, SOPs, and all necessary documentation
• Prepare reports regarding inventory balance, price lists, shortages, and obsolete equipment
• Manage special orders and backorder files, notifying supervisors upon receipt of items

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing and inventory management experience in a maintenance or production environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel) and general office equipment
• SAP experience preferred; ability to learn new applications is required
• Extensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and components
• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance processes
• Knowledge of OSHA and GMP regulations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted on a frequent basis
• Ability to work weekends and extended hours as required
