About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain maintenance materials stock and collaborate with vendors for pricing and orders
- Obtain quotes, enter requisitions, and submit purchase order requests
- Track hard copy purchase orders and manage receipts from the stockroom
- Prepare repair and return items for shipment via UPS, FedEx, or LTL
- Manage vendor relationships and collaborate on vendor-managed items
- Design, organize, and label the tool crib layout
- Maintain inventory records and complete 5S tasks and audits
- Develop standard work processes for tool crib operations
Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Good customer service and phone skills
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to wear required PPE including ear plugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes
