Maintenance Associate

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Prairie Land FAME "earn and learn" program, working three days a week at the facility and attending Richland Community College two days a week.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and implement repair solutions for electrical power, control equipment, and process control components.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance activities on electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
• Utilize maintenance management systems to facilitate job plans and record all maintenance activities on plant assets.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure all activities conform to food safety, quality systems, and good manufacturing practices.
• Document all repairs, inspections, and test results accurately in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency by May 2026.
• Must meet Richland Community College admission placement guidelines.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background process.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in various environments, including exposure to dust, chemicals, and extreme temperatures (heat and cold).
