About the role
Responsibilities
- General maintenance of buildings and grounds including painting, plastering, electrical work, plumbing, gardening, woodwork, and cleaning
- Purchasing products and materials for maintenance
- Supporting horticulture and irrigation needs
- Transporting staff and collecting products from Babylonstoren when necessary
Requirements
- Fluent in Afrikaans
- Completed National Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12)
- Clean criminal record
- Valid driver's license
- Valid South African ID
- Resident in the Kleinbosch area (Paarl-Oos or Wellington)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in maintenance work
- Basic knowledge of electrical work and plumbing
- Experience in general repairs (doors, locks, screws, painting, etc.)
- Good understanding of horticulture and irrigation
- Physically fit and willing to perform manual labor
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
