Maintenance Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and perform preventative maintenance on the property
• Execute the "make-ready" process to prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, pressure-washing, and debris removal
• Support cost-cutting programs by repairing parts and managing tool/equipment use
• Track maintenance inventory and notify supervisors of re-ordering needs
• Adhere to all safety, Fair Housing, and ADA regulations

Requirements

• 2+ years of grounds or porter experience
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment like pressure washers and leaf blowers
• Ability to perform minor maintenance and repairs
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
• Strong time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance or groundskeeping
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing solutions and safety hazards
