Maintenance and Automation Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify automotive manufacturing and test equipment to improve system uptime and reliability
• Oversee equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansions
• Maintain and update all process documentation
• Employ safe work practices in all technical tasks
• Work effectively within cross-functional teams

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 2 years of automation/PLC, mechanical, and electronic systems experience OR High school diploma/GED and 4 years of total technical/automation experience
• Ability to pass a hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test working with live current
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and holidays as needed
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing production needs

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience
• Experience with PLC programming languages (Siemens highly preferred)
• Experience maintaining and modifying electrical systems (24v to 480v)
• Experience with automated robotics and pneumatic systems
• Experience troubleshooting and replacing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Ability to interpret technical schematics including ladder logic, electrical, mechanical, and fluid diagrams
