Mainframe Sr. Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support business goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Perform advanced coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members
• Drive innovation and best practices within the software development team

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development
• 10+ years of experience in Cobol
• 8+ years of experience with IBM tools, monitoring tools, RMF, DB2 utilities, and Platinum Detector
• 10+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the financial services industry
