Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead and support migration projects from CA Endevor and other SCM platforms to IBM DBB, Git, IDz, and IBM DevOps Deploy / IDD.
• Analyze, convert, and validate existing Endevor-based applications and development flows.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot IBM DevOps migration tools within customer environments.
• Support build, branching, repository, and pipeline transition activities in IBM Z DevOps environments.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and customer training sessions regarding DevOps migration and IBM tooling.

Requirements

• Strong z/OS / IBM Z mainframe background with experience in application development, system programming, or software change management.
• Hands-on migration experience from non-IBM/ISV DevOps or SCM tools (specifically CA Endevor) to IBM DBB, Git, IDz, and IBM DevOps Deploy / IDD.
• Proficiency with TSO/ISPF, JCL, USS, and REXX.
• Working knowledge of Git, repositories, branching, YAML, Groovy scripting, and pipeline/build debugging.
• Strong problem-determination skills to support customers through complex migration-related issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with application development specifically on IBM Z.
• Exposure to Easytrieve-to-COBOL conversion and IBM Migration Utility.
• Hands-on experience in mainframe modernization and enterprise DevOps transformation.
