Macro Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare coverage of macro fundamental events and special situations
• Conduct scenario EVs and analysis for scheduled macro events
• Provide real-time EVs for unanticipated macro news and communicate valuation changes to global trading teams
• Engage in technical discussions with traders using data, probabilities, and statistical insights
• Interact with global sell-side sales and research contacts to aggregate and summarize opinions
• Run long-term research on macro topics, including data gathering, analysis, and recommendation development

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience covering macro within trading, financial services, or governmental institutions
• Strong quantitative background and command of probability
• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapid turnaround times
• Regional expertise in Asia / China
• Proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming skills in Python
• Proficiency in Asian languages, particularly Mandarin Chinese
• Existing broker contacts
