Fuse is on a mission to accelerate the world’s transition to fusion energy. Our core product is TITAN: an Impedance Matched Marx Generator (IMG), the most efficient and powerful machine of its kind.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (4 axis, y axis turning)
  • Write and edit G-code for Haas CNC machines to fabricate components
  • Optimize machine cycles for productivity and accuracy
  • Select and create tooling setups based on part requirements
  • Use inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, and CMM reports to verify dimensions
  • Run multiple CNC machines simultaneously to maximize production output
  • Collaborate with design engineering on manufacturability and material suitability
  • Maintain accurate documentation of part configurations and non-conformance issues
  • Procure materials needed for machining jobs
  • Assist in training new employees on CNC programming and best practices

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of related CNC machining experience
  • 1+ years of professional experience in setup and operation of CNC mills and/or lathes
  • 1+ years of professional experience reading G-code and programming CNC machines
  • Proficiency with inspection tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers) and strong understanding of GD&T
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, Fusion CAD/CAM, Mastercam, or similar CAM software
  • Solid foundation in geometric, trigonometric, and practical shop mathematics
  • Ability to develop and implement equipment maintenance procedures
  • Ability to acquire forklift operator certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain mobility within a manufacturing shop
  • Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
  • Experience with composite materials and fabrication methodologies
  • Welding expertise (TIG, Ultra-High Vacuum TIG, Electron Beam Welding)
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication for sheet metal or structural components
