Machinist

Responsibilities

• Perform manual machining operations (approximately 80% of the role) with a high degree of accuracy
• Execute CNC machining tasks (approximately 20% of the role)
• Program conversational controllers, including familiarity with Acu-Rite MILLPWR G2 and EZTRACK
• Interpret and manipulate 2D CAD files and import DXF files for machining processes
• Collaborate with internal teams to confirm critical fixture setups, including orientation and dimensions
• Inspect and confirm critical dimensions independently using precision measurement tools
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety standards
• Communicate potential quality issues clearly to management

Requirements

• 8-10 years of prior machining experience
• Proficiency in manual machining with exposure to CNC machining
• Ability to interpret 2D CAD/DXF files
• Strong understanding of machining principles and precision measurement tools
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman machinist status
• Vocational school training
• Knowledge of CMM and GD&T
