Machinist

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to exact specifications using lathes, mills, waterjets, and grinders
• Setup, adjust, and operate machine tools for precision machining operations
• Read and interpret engineering orders, blueprints, and work instructions
• Diagnose machine health and perform necessary maintenance
• Collaborate with engineers and shop leads to determine operation sequences
• Support composite fabrication and system technician work when required

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or a comparable industry
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Ability to machine materials such as Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium, and Inconel
• Proficiency in running manual machines
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programming CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, NX)
• CAD knowledge of SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX
• Experience designing parts and fixtures
