Machinist

Responsibilities

• Perform various onsite machining operations, including line boring, flange facing, and shaft machining
• Assist with measurements to determine machine condition, such as alignment, vibration, and 3D measurements
• Support the installation of new components, including alignment, shimming, and the assembly/disassembly of bearings, seals, and couplings
• Prepare detailed technical reports regarding work performed

Requirements

• MBO level 3 diploma in mechanical or maritime engineering (or equivalent experience)
• General knowledge of rotating machines and mechanical services
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English (written and spoken)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures
• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours
• Valid Driver's License B

Preferred Qualifications

• Several years of practical experience in conventional machining within the maritime sector
• Possession of a VCA-VOL safety certificate
• Offshore certification
