Machinist

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refinery machinery including pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, and gearboxes.
• Perform both shop and field repairs using drawings, equipment manuals, and established written procedures.
• Use precision measuring tools and operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and overhead cranes.
• Document all work performed in test forms and condition/repair reports.
• Operate forklifts, bridge cranes, and other heavy machinery as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist or Millwright in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Possession of a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoors.
• Must be able to work a four-ten schedule (Monday–Thursday, 7:00 am–5:30 pm) and be available for overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in the refining, chemical, or power industries.
• Relevant military experience in mechanical maintenance.
