Machinist - Level 3

Responsibilities

• Operate precision machines and perform basic equipment maintenance
• Set up and read through programming, making alterations or troubleshooting minor errors
• Inspect part dimensions and geometry according to blueprints and technical specifications
• Ensure all machining work meets quality standards stated in technical manuals and documents
• Control and monitor production functions to achieve high-quality hardware within standard times
• Coordinate with tool re-grinders for tool rectification
• Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities (Kaizen) to improve productivity and quality
• Operate various equipment including grinding, honing, lapping, drilling, or broaching as required

Requirements

• Professional Certificate or NITEC/NTC in Precision Engineering
• At least 5 years of working experience in CNC Milling or CNC Turning
• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC Lathe, Vertical, and Horizontal machining centers
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical work instructions
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 18 months of aviation experience in a mechanical trade
• Experience performing inspection of engine parts
• Knowledge of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
• Familiarity with aircraft component manuals or publications
• Understanding of 5S, TPM, Six Sigma, or Lean tools
• Knowledge of SAP
