Machinist

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machining equipment and CNC machinery to manufacture and repair components
• Machine raw material, castings, shafts, and existing components to engineering specifications
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, machining symbols, and tolerances accurately
• Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments
• Calculate speeds, feeds, tooling requirements, and machining offsets
• Perform repair machining, reconditioning, and modification of existing parts and assemblies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies
• Complete work instructions, ERP transactions, and inspection documentation accurately

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating both manual machining equipment and CNC machinery
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree in machining or manufacturing
• Minimum 3 years of machining experience in industrial or repair environments
• Experience machining castings, shafts, and rotating equipment components
• Basic welding skills
