Machinist III

Responsibilities

• Machine parts according to specifications for assemblies and build/repair parts
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Operate various machines for the production of precision parts, molds, and dies
• Rework molds and tools that are damaged during production
• Complete all necessary job-related paperwork
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Assist in upgrading the skills and capabilities of lesser-skilled employees
• Create repair parts for maintenance needs

Requirements

• Certified apprenticeship completion plus 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience, or 10 years of trade experience
• Proficiency in the setup and operation of both conventional and CNC machines
• Ability to perform welding tasks
• Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using common trade hand-tools
• Basic knowledge of weights, measures, and metric conversions
• US Citizenship is required (Dual citizenship cannot be accepted)
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
