Machinist III

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions
• Establish work coordinate systems, tooling offsets, and work holding methods
• Position and secure workpieces in holding devices, machine tables, or fixtures
• Set up and operate multi-axis machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders
• Create and edit NC programs using Mastercam
• Maintain compliance with internal quality standards and utilize job scheduling software
• Complete accurate job travelers and first article inspection reports for traceability

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of relevant machining experience including mill, lathe, 3-axis, 5-axis, and live-tooling
• Proficiency with CAM-CAD software and G-Code
• Understanding of GD&T (tolerancing, flatness, parallelism, etc.)
• Ability to use precision measuring tools like Vernier Calipers and Micrometers
• Knowledge of CNC cutting tool selection and feed rates

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Solidworks
• Proficiency in Mastercam
