Machinist I

Responsibilities

• Operate bench-type or floor-mounted machines including drill presses, grinders, broaches, saws, and manual or CNC mills and lathes.
• Perform machinist duties in a fast-paced production environment while meeting established deadlines and production expectations.
• Inspect parts and products using measuring and calibration devices to detect defects, anomalies, or quality non-conformities.
• Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and written work instructions to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership during meetings and problem-solving discussions to improve department strategies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months of machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with team members.
