Machinist I

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production machinery, with a primary focus on Brake Press operation
• Read and interpret detailed drawings, dimension styles, and technical specifications
• Set work priorities to meet scheduled production goals
• Interface with engineering to program machine runs and setups
• Load parts, cycle machines, and detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged tools
• Maintain accurate paperwork and reflect any production changes
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating manufacturing equipment, specifically Brake Press
• Ability to read a tape measure and use linear measuring devices
• Strong understanding of fractions, angles, and basic mathematics
• Proficiency with various pneumatic and power tools (drills, saws, routers, etc.)
• General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
• Close attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
