Machinist Helper

Responsibilities

• Assist Machinists with machine operation, including learning machine tear downs and setups
• Load and unload parts and raw materials into machines
• Check products for conformity to specifications and handle nonconforming products
• Perform secondary operations such as deburring, drilling, and sub-assemblies
• Complete necessary production documentation and maintain an organized work area
• Conduct light machine maintenance, such as checking and filling oil and coolant
• Adhere to all quality, safety, and 5S+1 programs, including the use of PPE
• Participate in continuous improvement and LEAN activities

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Knowledge of hand tools and basic shop math
• Knowledge of basic measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and oral/written procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months CNC machine operating experience
• Trade school experience in a related field
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack
