About the Company

fab2 designs and manufactures the hardware and software needed to make chips. Founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller, the team builds everything from deposition and etching tools to lithography and metrology equipment in-house.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operation of Haas UMC-500SS (×3) and UMC-750SS 5-axis VMCs, plus DS-30Y dual-spindle Y-axis lathes
• Setup, first-article inspection, and in-process gauging
• Tool loading from the Haas presetter
• Pallet-pool management on the UMCs (lights-out queue)
• Bar feeder setup and material changeover on the DS-30Y
• Reading prints and holding tolerances on stainless and aluminum (typical ±0.005")

Requirements

• 3+ years CNC machining experience
• At least 1 year of experience on 5-axis machines
• Fluency with Haas controls or comparable Fanuc
• Ability to read GD&T and inspect to print
• Ability to own offsets and edits at the machine

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience with Mastercam, Fusion 360, or HSMWorks
• Experience with Renishaw probing
• Experience with bar-fed lathes with sub-spindle
• Experience with mill-turn or live-tooling on lathes
