Machinist

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC equipment and toolroom machinery (lathe, mill, broach, grinders, etc.) to achieve high-quality production standards
• Set up and operate multi-head CNC controlled machines and general fabrication equipment
• Fabricate parts to blueprint specifications using appropriate processes and machinery
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely in accordance with company protocols
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on workstations and equipment
• Review job orders, manage required materials, and organize administrative paperwork
• Collaborate with CNC programmers, engineering, and assembly departments to optimize efficiency and solve production obstacles
• Assist with 5S organization, lean manufacturing initiatives, and safety hazard identification

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Proven experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
• Basic computer skills for logging and scanning job orders
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a heavy equipment or manufacturing environment
• Direct experience operating CNC machines
