Machinist B

Responsibilities

• Produce parts, components, and final assemblies using composite and metal fabrication, modification, and assembly techniques.
• Operate various machinery including CNC lathes, CNC milling centers, manual lathes, manual mills, boring mills, presses, and grinders.
• Utilize detailed work instructions, schematics, diagrams, and layouts to ensure precision.
• Fabricate and assemble piece parts into completed sub-assemblies using appropriate assembly tools.
• Perform machining of sand mandrels and participate in preventative maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot processes, identify production escapes, and coordinate with engineers for equipment calibration.
• Facilitate and conduct on-the-job (OJT) training for technicians as required.
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant machining experience, OR 2 years of post-secondary/Associate's Degree with 0-2 years of related experience.
• Proven ability to operate CNC lathes and milling centers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams.
