Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills, lathes, routers, and lasers, as well as manual milling machines.
• Program CNC equipment by reading and writing G-code using CAM software and creating DXF/GNH files.
• Fabricate high-quality aerospace components using materials such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
• Interpret complex blueprints, engineering plans, and technical drawings using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Perform precision inspections and validate workpiece conformance using various measuring techniques and statistical process control (SPC).
• Execute sheet metal installation tasks, including cutting, grinding, trimming, and drilling metal, plastic, or rubber sections.
• Maintain accurate documentation in SAP and adhere to all safety and security requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and a Trade School Certification.
• 2-5 years of experience working in a machine or fabrication shop.
• 2-5 years of experience in the aerospace industry or a related transferable field.
• Proven ability to write code for CNC programming from technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and drawing tolerances.
• Proficiency in using hand deburr tools and various measuring instruments.
• Intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with AutoCAD, EnRoute, or Gravostyle.
