About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC production equipment, including 3-axis and 5-axis mills, lathes, routers, and lasers
  • Perform manual machining using milling machines and lathes
  • Write and correct CNC programs using G-code and CAM software
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and technical drawings
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure part accuracy
  • Conduct inspections using various measuring techniques to validate conformance to specifications
  • Maintain high quality standards while working with aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel
  • Assist in sheet metal installation, including cutting, grinding, and trimming parts to fit

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of experience in a machine or fabrication shop within aerospace or a related field (e.g., automotive, shipbuilding)
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and the ability to create/correct DXF and GNH files
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documentation
  • Experience with aerospace materials and precision measurement tools
  • Computer proficiency, including experience with AutoCAD, EnRoute, or Gravostyle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade School Certification in a relevant machining field
  • Experience with Catia or similar advanced CAD/CAM software
