About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery, including HAAS and Cincinnati mills and lathes, to machine metal parts
- Load and unload parts into CNC machinery and operate to meet specific parts and rates
- Perform set-ups, touch-offs, and read gauges to ensure proper specifications
- Use various tools including torque wrenches, air tools, presses, and hoists in a safe manner
- Diagnose quality issues and understand machine codes and adjustments
- Read and understand workstation instructions, drawings, and specification sheets
- Maintain a clean work area and participate in continuous improvement and safety activities
Requirements
- Experience with CNC machinery operation
- Ability to set up and read manual, digital, and automatic gauges
- Physical stamina to stand on concrete for entire shifts and perform repetitive bending, stooping, and twisting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance from a team member or use of a hoist)
- Ability to read and understand workstation instruction documentation
- Must obtain a CNC Certificate within 6 months of acceptance if not currently holding one
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive or trucking)
- Previous mechanical experience
- High School Diploma or GED
