Machining Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery, including HAAS and Cincinnati mills and lathes, to manufacture metal parts
• Load and unload parts into CNC machinery and operate to meet specific parts and rates
• Perform set-ups, touch-offs, and read gauges to ensure proper specifications
• Use various tools including torque wrenches, air tools, presses, and hoists in a safe manner
• Read and understand workstation instructions, drawings, and specification sheets
• Diagnose quality issues and understand machine codes and adjustments
• Maintain a clean work area and participate in continuous improvement activities

Requirements

• Experience with CNC machinery operation
• Ability to set up and read manual, digital, and automatic gauges
• Ability to read and understand workstation instructions and technical documentation
• Physical ability to stand for entire shifts and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must obtain a CNC Certificate within 6 months of acceptance if not currently holding one

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive or trucking)
• Previous mechanical experience
• High School Diploma or GED
