About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Mill and Lathe machinery to machine essential core materials
- Perform drilling, cutting, and machining tasks to meet specific part requirements
- Load and unload parts into CNC machinery and perform set-up and touch-off
- Read and interpret gauges, machine codes, drawings, and workstation instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and surface tester computers
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and fix production or program issues during the 3rd shift
- Participate in continuous improvement activities regarding safety, quality, and productivity
- Adhere to established work rotation plans and complete required training matrices
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including standing on concrete for entire shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, stooping, and twisting
- Proficiency in using CNC machinery, manual mills, lathes, and various hand/power tools
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and machine codes
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to work overtime and cross-train in different areas as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive or trucking preferred)
- Prior CNC machinery operation experience
- CNC Certificate (must be obtained within 6 months of acceptance if not currently held)
- Previous mechanical experience
