About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery, including HAAS and Cincinnati mills and lathes, to manufacture metal components.
  • Load and unload parts into CNC machinery and operate to meet specific parts and rates.
  • Perform set-ups, touch-offs, and use surface tester computers.
  • Use manual, digital, and automatic gauges to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Read and understand machine codes, adjustments, and Work Station Instructions.
  • Utilize various tools including torque wrenches, air tools, presses, and hoists in a safe manner.
  • Maintain a clean work area and participate in continuous improvement activities regarding safety and quality.
  • Use computer systems to access company data, drawings, and bills of materials.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand machine codes and technical documentation.
  • Ability to use manual and digital gauges for precision measurement.
  • Ability to stand on concrete for an entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance from a team member or use of a hoist).
  • Must possess a CNC Certificate or be able to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand manipulation and grasp power tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically automotive or trucking.
  • Previous mechanical experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
