Machining Career Technical Trade Instructor

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive atmosphere and maintain discipline within the classroom setting
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Career Technical Training field
• Present lessons using multimodal approaches to accommodate different learning styles
• Maintain lesson plans aligned with Industry Standards and Training Achievement Records
• Manage classroom preparation, attendance, and necessary Job Corps documentation
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of classrooms and shops
• Develop industry partnerships for work-based learning, internships, and job placement
• Assist students in obtaining primary and secondary credentials
• Evaluate and record student progress and case notes in CIS
• Model appropriate employability skills and adhere to all safety practices

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience in vocational trade preferred
• Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state of employment or by a professional trade organization
• Experience working with diverse youth
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree
