Machine Operator Trainee

Responsibilities

• Train to setup and operate various machines under the guidance of an experienced operator
• Control and adjust machine settings based on instructor input
• Read and interpret shop orders to produce parts to specific lengths and diameters
• Use appropriate gauges to check products and ensure they meet quality specifications
• Enter production data into kiosks and move products to the next operation
• Perform daily machine maintenance and maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot effectively
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8 to 10-hour shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using gauges for quality inspection
• Experience operating a tow motor
