Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain machinery across multiple departments to ensure high-quality production.
• Perform equipment adjustments, minor repairs, and change overs to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain accurate and legible production records, documentation, and data entry.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet customer specifications regarding labeling, dating, and packaging.
• Monitor equipment and facility sanitation to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Operate metal detectors and follow all required reporting and recordkeeping procedures.
• Adhere to all company policies, including GMP, SOP, HACCP, and safety regulations.
• Minimize waste and maximize productivity during equipment downtime.

Requirements

• Ability to consistently push, pull, and lift between 20 and 100 pounds.
• Basic mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to perform simple calculations in different units of measurement.
• Ability to read and comprehend production worksheets and technical instructions.
• Working knowledge of safety methods, procedures, and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing setting involving noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), and physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
• Flexibility to work scheduled 3rd shift hours (10/11 PM to 6/7 AM) and required overtime.
