Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Feed and operate equipment on the packaging lines
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, tool storage, and recycle room
• Report mechanical and electrical issues immediately to supervisors
• Perform hand stacking and granulating of waste as required
• Prepare new sets of SPC filters and perform filter changes
• Operate forklifts and floor washers as required
• Adhere to all safety protocols and use protective equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with machine set-up and basic computer literacy
• Forklift experience or certification
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Ability to work a continental rotating 12-hour shift schedule (rotating weekly between days and nights)
• Physical ability to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 hours and lift up to 50kg (with assistance)
• Ability to use basic hand tools such as grinders and utility knives
