Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Feed and operate equipment on the packaging lines
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tool storage, and recycle rooms
• Report mechanical and electrical issues immediately to supervisors
• Perform machine set-ups, including changing SPC filters and cooling zone components
• Operate forklifts and floor washers as required
• Handle material through hand stacking and granulating of waste

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with machine set-up and basic computer literacy
• Forklift experience and/or certification
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Ability to work a continental rotating 12-hour shift schedule (days and nights)
• Physical ability to stand/walk on concrete for 12 hours and lift between 25kg and 50kg
• Ability to use basic hand tools such as grinders and air chisels safely
