Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Feed and operate equipment on the packaging lines
• Perform machine set-ups and filter changes (SPC filters, cooling zone filters)
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tool storage, and conveyor areas
• Report mechanical and electrical issues immediately to supervisors
• Operate forklifts and floor washers as required
• Perform hand stacking and granulating of waste as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with machine set-up and basic computer literacy
• Forklift experience or certification
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Ability to work a continental rotating 12-hour shift schedule (rotating day and night shifts weekly)
• Physical ability to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 hours and lift 25kg (up to 50kg with assistance)
• Ability to use basic hand tools safely
