Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Turret Punch Press (TPP) machines to ensure smooth production and minimal downtime
• Perform machine maintenance activities including lubrication, daily checklists, and tool/die management
• Conduct First Piece, in-process, and Last Piece inspections to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications
• Implement machine programmes using G-codes and M-codes and coordinate with programmers for tool setup
• Maintain 5S standards, workplace organisation, and ensure safety compliance using PPE and standard guidelines
• Manage tools, materials, and documentation including production logs, rejection data, and maintenance records
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen), teamwork, and training of co-associates

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• 4–6 years of experience in turret punch press (TPP) operations
• Knowledge of machine operation, tooling, and basic maintenance practices
• Understanding of shop floor safety standards and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) adherence
• Willingness to work in shifts and across production areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Amada punching systems or similar equipment
• Exposure to G-code and M-code programming in manufacturing
• Hands-on experience in quality inspection (FPI, in-process, LPI)
• Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices
• Exposure to tool management and production documentation
