Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment according to product specifications, ensuring accuracy in weights and codes
• Adjust machines as required and perform minor repairs and routine maintenance
• Maintain proper documentation of equipment downtime and repairs
• Continually check the quality of product, packaging, and case printing according to standard operating procedures
• Inspect and conduct regular deep cleaning of equipment after each product change
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and operate in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations
• Partner with leadership to identify continuous improvement opportunities in safety, food safety, quality, and productivity

Requirements

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to respond to alarms and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Ability to work well with teammates and communicate with respect and courtesy
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in high heat/humidity for 12+ hours per shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and stooping
• Ability to work in a dusty environment and perform fine manipulation

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience operating industrial machinery
• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing facility
