Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Run mill and lathe machines to produce high-quality valve and regulator parts
• Operate manual and CNC machines (such as Tornos, Mori-Seiki, Mazak, or Doosan)
• Perform quality inspections using Go/No-go gauges, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
• Load bars into bar feeders and ensure coolant lines are properly set and flowing
• Perform safe manual deburring and minor preventative machine maintenance
• Follow all safety procedures and demonstrate manufacturing problem-solving skills

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-3+ years of experience running CNC machines
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tool layouts
• Proficiency in basic shop mathematics, including arithmetic and algebra
• Experience using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers
• Ability to lift 45 pounds and perform repeated physical tasks
• Strong attention to detail with reliable vision and hearing

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of Machining or Trade school
• Experience with coolant and lube management, including changing filters
