Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate a vertical grinder to grind or polish glass edges to quality standards
• Read and interpret sketches to apply specifications to glass edges
• Track, locate, and record edger production on schedules provided by the lead
• Communicate production demands with operators across shifts
• Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift safely
• Perform routine machine maintenance and complete daily work sheets and forms

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Basic computer familiarity
• Read and use a tape measure
• Mathematical calculations with fractions and decimals
• Read and interpret sketches and production schedules
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Adherence to all safety policies and procedures
