About the role
Responsibilities
- Verify process output is within specified quality limits and make adjustments or communicate when outside allowable limits
- Execute, interpret, record, and respond to inspections and test results
- Isolate and reject out-of-specification materials
- Accurately record production, rejects, inventory, and work hours
- Assist in shift preparation, directing personnel, and shut-down or hand-off
- Control and maintain process equipment to accepted standards
- Participate in Toyota Production System (TPS) activities
- Move glass materials using vacuum lift assist equipment, manual lifting, and mobile carts
- Understand schedules and inventory requirements to keep production on track
- Perform preventative maintenance activities such as cleaning and inspecting
- Apply inspection procedures and tolerances to pass or reject materials and products
