Machine Operator - Laser

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, program, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on laser cutting machines
• Machine material to specification from job orders to minimize production delays
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure adherence to quality standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues by adjusting machine offsets, speeds, and feeds
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following 5S standards
• Follow all Lean and Quality Management systems and safety procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience in a manufacturing setting
• Proficiency in manual and CNC machine programming
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and use precision measuring instruments
• Ability to operate an overhead crane and a sit-down forklift
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis and stand for up to twelve hours per day
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
