Machine Operator II - Sheetmetal

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal machinery including brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and schematic drawings to ensure accurate production
• Use measuring instruments such as rulers, tape measures, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and conformity to specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to correct problems
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area while following all safety protocols and using proper PPE
• Fill part requirements to support the kitting department and upstream production needs

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings
• Proficiency with handheld tools and various measuring devices
• Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions
• Physical ability to stand constantly and lift/carry up to 50lbs alone
• Strong team orientation and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
