Machine Operator I

Responsibilities

• Operate bending and embossing machines to ensure safe and efficient production
• Perform machine lubrication, daily maintenance checks, and general machine upkeep
• Conduct First Piece, in-process, and Last Piece inspections to meet quality standards
• Manage the loading and setup of bending tools and dies while maintaining tooling accountability
• Maintain 5S standards and workplace organization in compliance with safety guidelines and PPE usage
• Manage production output to meet targets for quality, productivity, and delivery
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily checklists, rejection reports, and scrap accountability
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives and assist in training co-associates

Requirements

• Diploma, ITI, or equivalent technical qualification
• 2–5 years of experience in press brake or bending machine operations
• Strong knowledge of machine operations, tooling, dies, and maintenance practices
• Solid understanding of SOPs, safety requirements, and quality inspection processes
• Willingness to work in shifts within a shopfloor environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive, electrical, electronics, or general manufacturing industries
• Exposure to embossing operations and advanced bending techniques
• Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices
• Proficiency in production documentation and reporting systems
• Ability to train and support junior operators
