Machine Operator I

Responsibilities

• Operate, load, and unload material and parts using Waterjet, 3D Printer, Rotary, and Laser Engraving machines
• Perform machine startup/shutdown procedures, setup, in-process observation, and troubleshooting
• Inspect part quality for conformance to requirements using precision measuring instruments
• Study and interpret engineering drawings or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances
• Verify manufacturing files are accurate to drawings and prepare models before manufacture
• Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and report issues to management
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and assist with basic preventive maintenance
• Communicate manufacturing updates to next-shift operators or supervisors
• Manage consumable inventories and request replenishment as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience with Waterjet, 3D Printing, or engraving machines
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of CAD-based software
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
