Machine Operator I

Responsibilities

• Load recipes and follow centerline setups for the furnace
• Fabricate assemblies and parts for products according to engineering documents and production standards
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides to fabricate parts
• Review finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs
• Perform basic operator preventative maintenance on machinery and tools
• Use various equipment including hoists, grinders, drills, presses, punches, saws, and bending machines
• Diagnose process and quality issues and report fabrication concerns to the supervisor
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment following 6S principles

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of production machine operator experience
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and measuring devices
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic math, reading, writing, and PC skills
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of specific fabrication or machining experience
