Machine Operator I

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery including resistance welding, brake presses, mechanical power presses, saws, drills, and grinders
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company standards
• Pack finished materials into dunnage and assist with loading and unloading tasks
• Inspect finished workpieces to ensure they conform to required specifications
• Complete production documentation, process monitors, and production tickets accurately
• Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and perform basic troubleshooting during the shift

Requirements

• 1-3 years of related machine operation experience
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform continuous physical exertion (standing, stooping, climbing)
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and use of a tape measure
• Computer literacy and strong reading comprehension
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures
• Experience using safety features and specialized equipment in a manufacturing environment
