About the role

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain CNC equipment, including multi-head Plasma/Oxy-Fuel ESAB Burn Tables and Bystronic Laser Tables.
  • Fabricate parts to blueprint specifications using various machines such as press brakes and radial arm drills.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on workstations and equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely to move materials and completed job orders.
  • Review job orders and coordinate with the warehouse to bring required materials into the shop.
  • Collaborate with CNC programmers, engineering, and planning departments to maximize efficiency and plate usage.
  • Maintain 5S organization, cleanliness, and lean manufacturing standards within the work area.
  • Log and scan job orders into the computer system and manage routine administrative paperwork.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Heavy Equipment or Manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use digital logging systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of direct experience with CNC machines.
  • Experience with general fabrication equipment such as Mubea, Carlton Radial Arm Drills, or Rollers.
