Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines to produce high-quality plastic conduit pipes in a safe and efficient manner
• Read work orders to perform setups, change overs, and adjustments
• Monitor extrusion production, equipment, and quality checks to ensure conformity to specifications
• Maintain accurate documentation of product dimensions and track lost production hours
• Ensure pipe is marked with the proper print line as specified in the quality manual
• Follow all company-standard safety requirements and report unsafe conditions or broken equipment

Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of machine operator experience
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
• Basic math skills and the ability to take accurate measurements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and move on foot for up to 12 hours per shift in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to recognize colors

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with extrusion processes and product specifications
• Forklift operation experience
• Bilingual skills
